The correct answer was: A
Play: R2 is on 2nd
with no outs, B1 hits a fly ball deep to left field and F7 in fair
territory attempts to catch it. However the ball defects off his glove
and without hitting the ground goes over the fence on the foul side of
the of the pole.
What is the correct ruling?
a) Home run, B1 & R2
score
b) Double, R2 scores and B1 is awarded 2nd
c) Foul ball, R2 returns to 2nd

Play:
B1 leads off the
top of the 1st and swings and misses on a 2-2 count. F2 fails to cleanly
catch the ball and it bounds away. B1 thinking he is out takes a step
toward the dugout, but has yet to leave the dirt circle. F2 trying to
run down the ball runs into B1 and falls down. B1 realizes he is not out
takes off and beats the throw to 1st. How is this play handled?
a) B1 is safe at 1st
b) B1 is out when he turned to the dugout
c) B1 is out if the umpire determines F2 would have had a play
d) B1 is out for interference
